Tuesday, 03/30/10

I met with Saul today and we ran a mile and a half. It took me 18 minutes and 56 seconds. It's not my best time, but I'll do better next time. Did you know stress can affect your workout? Never bring work home. Leave it there. I'll make a note of this. Although, I didn't beat my time, I'm just humble for the body I have. It gets me up in the morning and allows me to run, walk, hike, and etc. I wouldn't have been able to do this a year ago. Keep moving!

Much love,

3rd Week - 03/29/10 - 04/04/10

Tuesday - 4 min / 1 min walk

The last three days I didn't do anything. I hate it when I lose focus and get off track. I'll start up again today!

Tuesday - 3 min / 1 min walk - I went for 2 miles and total time took 30 minutes. Trying to improve my time.

Monday, 03/29/10

I just got back from kickboxing class. I started off stretching my legs, and arms. I finished the warm up with 100 jump rope. Then I did two sets of crunches. The session started with 5 sets of arm boxing moves. I learned new kickboxing moves. We did abot 10 sets until Mr. A was satisfied with our kicks. It almost feels like you're dancing. By the end of the session my hair was matted to my sticky and sweaty head. It's the best kind of sweat. I'm loving Mr. A's classes.

I'll have to get up early tomorrow and run. I have another running/training session with Saul. I'm looking forward to another day of hard, intense work out.

Hope you are moving.

Much love,

Sunday, 03/28/10

I forgot to check in yesterday. I went to Balboa Lake and walked for 30 minutes with my 1 lbs weights. My arms were feeling the pain. I know how can 1lb each make a difference. Try it!!! You'll love it.

I drove to Oceanside yesterday to visit my cousin and baby niece. Guess what? The IRON MAN was taking place down there. It was pretty cool witnessing it in person and watching the competitors swim, bicycle and run the race.

It's Sunday and it's gorgeous in Southern California. I'm going to wait til the sun goes down and then go for a run.

Keep steppin'!

Friday. 03/26/10

GUESS WHAT?!!! My time improved. I ran a mile and a half in 17 minutes and 36 seconds. Guess what else?!!!! I ran two miles non-stop in 25 minutes and 11 seconds. My fastest time for a mile is 9 minutes and 56 seconds and my average per mile is roughly 12 minutes 30 seconds. I can not believe it!!!! We walked around the park as a warm up for the first 25 minutes and ran for 25 minutes and finished the work out with core work. I worked up a good sweat. Yes, change is possible!!! I feel great.

Keep moving!

Thursday, 03/25/10

I met with Saul today and we worked out for an hour. We walked for 35 minutes and ran for 19 minutes. Why 19 minutes? I was able to run a mile and a half in 19 minutes. That's a minute fast than my run from last Sunday! Go Hua!!!! I'm feeling pretty good. It's possible with time to increase my pace. My endurance will also get better with time. We stetched for about 8-10 minutes at the end of the session. I meet with him again tomorrow. I'm super excited with my one minute progress and also excited to train tomorrow. I have to be honest, I work a lot harder with someone with me. What about you? What keeps you motivated????

Keep moving!

Much love,

Hua:

I didn't get up this morning to go for my run. I'm a bad girl. I was so sore this morning from kickboxing class last night. I did get home around 6:30 pm and was able to go for a jog/run. I jogged for 21 minutes without stopping and cool down with a walk for 20 minutes. I feel pretty good. I plan to wake up in the morning and go for a run. I'm hoping to be able to run for at least 25 minutes without stopping by the end of the week. Before I go to bed tonight, I will do some arm weights and sit ups.

Keep steppin'!

Much love!

My friend Stacy and I went to a kickboxing/boxing class. It was awesome. We stretched for the first 20 minutes with kicks, punches, weight lifting, and etc. I could feel my legs and arms burning. It was a good kind of burn. Mr. A is awesome. He's our sensei. He showed me some self-defense moves and boxing techniques. All of a sudden I'm making all those weird sounds and was feeling pretty confident. He wasn't feel well so the session was for 45 minutes. I worked up a sweat in those 45 minutes. Feeling really good and plan on waking up early for a run.

Hope you all are moving!

I'm so sorry for not posting lately. I was feeling down for a while, but am back in gear. I had a great run with a friend today. We warmed up by walking around Balboa Lake and then stretched before starting the jog. It feels so good to be back. I stopped jogging for a while and once you stop it's hard to get started. I'm a slow runner. I was able to run a mile and a half in 20 minutes. I feel really good that I was able to run for 20 minutes without stopping. I'm going to post my progress day by day so it's not so overwhelming. To date, I have lost a total of 76 lbs and have another 25-30 lbs to go.

Hope everyone is moving and is having an awesome day.

Much love!
