I didn't hear my alarm this morning and managed to run for 25 minutes in my neighborhood. I'm still waiting for the Garmin Forerunner 305 to come in. I'm going to say the run in the morning was 1.5 miles. It was probably more, but to be on the safe side, I'll leave it at 1.5. The hardest part was getting up, after that I was fine. I actually enjoyed the run in the morning and felt more alert and awake by the time I got to work. I even felt fine throughout the day probably because I'm sleeping better now.
It is cold and windy in Southern California, but I didn't let the weather stop me from running in the evening. I got to Balboa Lake/Park at 7:15 pm and the park was closing down. The ranger said I couldn't park inside but I could still run in the park as long as I parked on the street. I walked for the first 5 minutes and started to run. I started the run around Balboa Lake. It was much colder running around the lake. On top of the wind, I got attack by gnats. I refused to breathe through my mouth, otherwise I would have had a mouth full of gnats. At one point, my arms were flying everywhere trying to avoid them. Finally, I just decided to run the other pathways and finished after an hour. It felt good to finish. I'm going to average my run, 15 minutes per mile. That's a 4 mile run. I ended the night with leg stretches. Go Me!!!!!!!
Keep pushing hard!
Much love,
