Week 5: Wednesday, April 14, 2010

As of yesterday, it has been 6 months since my last cigarette. It feels good to be in control of my body and mind again. That small little poisonous thing had a giant grip on me, but I am free and breathing again!

I'm feeling better about running. I still drag it at times, but I'm pushing through it. I love the feeling of accomplishment afterwards! But my ankle is starting to act up. I may have to find a new route to run around my area. The pavement is uneven and my ankle is aching after each run. Not good.

Recap:
Monday: 2 miles - 30 min. 13 min run/1 walk, then 12 min run.
Tuesday: 2 miles - 27 min. 3 minutes warm up/ 24 min run.

Tonight will be my regular 3 mile run at the lake. I hope there's not many people at the lake. I like to run straight through and not around people every 5 minutes.

  1. I'm so proud of you! Six months...that's amazing and you should be very proud of yourself. Keep up with the running! I will do the same. It's a challenge for me too.
